MDC-T 'Revolution' devours 'its own'

11 Apr 2014 at 20:10hrs | Views
The so called MDC revolution, like the Greek god, Kronos, is now devouring its children.

The recent violence and purging of opponents by the ex- Premier, Morgan Tsvangirai, has thrown the party to the dogs. The "we will remove you violently" declaration now appears not to have been meant for Zanu-PF only, but also those within the MDC.

Time is however, rife for Tsvangirai to prescribe the bitter pill to his cronies.

The menacing axe that Tsvangirai is wielding, chopping dangerously close to the MDC-T's head, has already severed the strings that have been holding the party together.

The situation currently obtaining within the MDC-T ranks is synonymous to that of the biblical Tower of Babel aspirants, who tried to build a staircase to heaven. They were struck by confusion when God gave each a different language and they were unable to communicate or finish their foolish projects. Correspondingly, Morgan Tsvangirai, Tendai Biti, Douglas Mwonzora, Nelson Chamisa and Elton Mangoma are now singing very different tunes.

Worse is still to come as the MDC-T has now broken world history by demanding underwriting fees from its entire membership to capacitate self sponsorship. Indeed the party's lifespan has been exhausted.

It will not be surprising to see the birth of an MDC-M2 (Mangoma) or MDC B under Biti.

The fiasco was even captured in a song on the "Tsika Mutanda" debut album launched in Gweru which carried a song warning MDC-T membership to be wary of those using money to intensify fissures. The title of the album is a reference to the in-house witch hunting being spearheaded by Tsvangirai.

What the MDC-T (in all its forms), does not realize is, when one  goes against God's appointments, anarchy becomes the staple diet.
