When the dead lose respect

24 Jun 2014 at 08:32hrs | Views

MDC T hooliganism has nothing in common with the Soweto youths who patriotically fought the apartheid system, given the miscreants' insatiable quest to stir political chaos and despondency as well as their pro-Western imperialists inclinations.

My brief is to put the record straight to the MDC T fellows to desist from elevating themselves to the same revered celestial heights as the Soweto Youths. The context in which the commemoration of the Soweto massacre by that party's youth was undoubtedly mischievous, misdirected and utterly misconceptualised.

Every individual is entitled to commemorating such events, but it becomes a cause for concern when nutties hijack this sad chapter of African youth liberation to advance their nocturnally devious agendas that are contrary to what precipitated the massacre in the first place.

That a group of zed-intoxicated youths could even begin to compare themselves to the gallant sons and daughters who took part in the Soweto uprising makes my heart bleed.

Before going any further it is critical to reflect on the ideologies of the two groups. The Soweto youths were fighting a racist system and coming from a clearly defined nationalist and Pan-Africanist background. The MDC are fighting the nationalist in order to thwart realisation of the Pan-Africanist ideal in pursuit of a disenfranchising western model.

The MDC T theatrics of downplaying government policies such Zim Asset are self-defeating. Tsvangirai recently made headlines by claiming that the economic blueprint is MDC T's brainchild.  Ironically, the MDC Youths Assembly national spokesperson, Clifford Hlatywayo unwittingly dismissed the blue print which they claim ownership, as an inconsistent anti-investor policy.

It is needless to point out the plurality of foolishness that has been identified with the MDC T. In this chaotic and poorly stage-managed identification with diligent historical characters, I hear a squeaky and attention seeking Sikhala-like voice inciting and indoctrinating empirically parallel notions with regards to freedom fighting.

I, for one, certainly think the MDC T is a disgrace to the political fraternity owing to their perennial misfiring.

The desperate youths who have since been blindfolded by the same perpetrators of the ongoing economic challenges, are used as political pawns to achieve Morgan and his western allies' selfish ambitions.

If Morgan was a better player, some of the pawns would be sacrificed for good returns.  However, the reverse is true. The youths are being reduced to unwitting tools in fighting a cause they don't even understand at all.

With all due respect, MDC-T, please do not denigrate the memory and torment the spirit of those gallant children by making a parallel claim on their cause. Spare some respect for the dearly departed.
