Mnangagwa using Grace Mugabe and vice versa, double crossing the croc midstream a big No No!

There is a Caribbean saying that goes:
You can call crocodile snouty mouti!
You can call crocodile scaly ugly face!
You can insult the crocodile all you want!
Just do so AFTER you have crossed the river!

Someone should have told Grace Mugabe that and now it is too late. She has let herself be lured into the Zanu PF's dangerous mudded waters by none other than Mnangagwa nicknamed Ngwena (Crocodile). And when she is up to her knickers in the muddy water she turns around and calls Ngwena "Snouty mouti" to his face!

"I don't want anyone to see me as theirs…I have thought long about this and realised that if I'm not careful, I will be used. There are people who have their scores to settle, but don't try to use me to settle your scores," said Grace Mugabe.

"I want to remind you especially at the top. You should know that I'm a mature woman now. l'm 50 soon," she said.

By those "at the top" she meant Mnangagwa faction members including ministers Jonathan Moyo, Joseph Made, Supa Mandiwanzira and Ignatius Chombo who accompanied on this Mutare leg of her country wide meet-the-people rallies. Minister Mnangagwa was not there but he attended the  Masvingo rally.

Mugabe had the good sense to play one Zanu PF faction against the other(s) always careful to promote the most incompetent individuals from each faction to ensure each had the most inapt leader leading it. By promoting Simon Muzenda, for example, Mugabe killed off all possible leadership challenge from Masvingo Province. He knew Muzenda would never aspire to lead as long as Mugabe was there and by the same token he would never relinquish power to anyone from the Province who would challenge Mugabe.

One would have thought Mugabe drummed some of this political shrewdness into his wife so she would not foolishly dive head first into the mudded Zanu PF political waters.

Ever since Grace emerged on the Zanu PF political stage in August she has thrown herself into the dirty political game with gusto! Her target was the Mujuru faction of Zanu PF and she homed in like a heat seeking missile. She made it clear that she was taking no prisoner as Shadreck Mashayamombe would readily testify.

Grace needed to belong to a Province to smooth her climb into Zanu PF party leadership position and Mashayamombe had the check to tell President Mugabe's nephew Patrick Zhuwao that she was not welcome in Harare Province and to find a "political home" for her somewhere else.

"Mashayamombe, ndiri mai vako; Mashayamombe Baba Mugabe ndibaba vako (I am your mother and President Mugabe is your father," Grace scolded him to the loud cheers from party supporters who packed the City Sports Centre to the rafters last week. If Mashayamombe had been a dog then not only did he have his tail between his legs but was bend double he had his nose in a***!

Mai Mujuru and all her supporters have all scarpered for cover and not a voice has been heard from even the tradition big mouths amongst them.

Grace would have never thrown her hat in this presidential race if the Mnangagwa faction had not given her their backing. Mnangagwa faction had been losing ground in the race to succeed Mugabe to the Mujuru juggernaut that had been gaining momentum and now, with a few months before the elective congress, seemed unstoppable. By adopting Grace as their candidate, the Mnangagwa faction has definitely out manoeuvred and confused their rivalry and now has the initiative and the wind in its sail.

There is no doubt that Grace is using the Mnangagwa faction as much as the faction itself is using her, if not getting the presidency, then to get all the other jobs and to stop the Mujuru faction's getting the presidency and all the other jobs too. So the Mnangagwa faction is using Grace just as much she is using them.

What does Grace hope to achieve by telling Mnangagwa and his supporters that she will not be used by them unless it is to warn them she intends to use them and then damp them so quickly their heads will spin! Still, it is pretty dim to warn them before she has secured the presidency. Of the stupid things for her to have said at the worst time possible this sure takes the biscuit! This is tantamount to wading in the muddy river up to one's neck and telling the crocodile as soon as you are safely out you intent to call him "snouty mouti" to his face!

If Mugabe was to die now; my bet is on Grace beating him to Pearl Gate, even if he used his usually motorcade!
