Zimbabwe Special Permit rejects

06 Feb 2015 at 22:35hrs | Views
We are receiving the people whose ZSP applications have been REJECTED. In one of the Stakeholders Forum meeting and somewhere in the website, it is (was) mentioned that there will be NO APPEAL.

The two cases have been given 10 days to VOLUNTARILY LEAVE SOUTH AFRICA OTHERWISE THEY WILL GET DEPORTED ONCE FOUND.

The reason cited is that the applicants did not submit the letter from the employer. The applicants are saying they did submit the letter. I believe the applicants because i understand the process of included about 3 people checking the completeness of documents.

The Migrant Workers' Association-SA (MWA-SA), working with other organisations, will engage based on this new development. We fail to believe that a normal Zimbabwean can apply for a WORK permit without an employer's letter.

The 10 days given for the people to leave South Africa is putting us under a lot of pressure.

Please note that, as much as we have been using our own resources to run around, we want people to join MWA-SA as fully subscribed members so that we have the capacity to assist including hiring lega representatives, if necessary.

ONCE-OFF FOR 2015 is: R150.

Ideas on how to take forward the work of helping migrants are welcome.

My cell number has changed from 0736211230 to 0603119086. Available on whatsapp as well.

I thank you.
