Elton Mangoma a Political Scavenger

Elton Mangoma, the rover politician, is migrating from one political entity to another with no room to achieve his elfish political ambitions. He dragged Tendai Biti out of MDC-T, only to party ways barely 6 months down the line. It is a regrettable scenario on his part.

Mangoma and his close deviant mate, Pishai Muchauraya, are in a wild goose chase in their newly formed political party which is named Renewal Democrats of Zimbabwe (RDZ). The question is, "what does Mangoma want to achieve for the benefit of Zimbabweans that he failed to accomplish during his days in the MDC-T?'

For the short stint that he had in government as the Energy and Power Development minister, he was involved in arm-twisting tender procedures for his personal benefit. He is still haunted by his lack of professional conduct when he was in government. He is facing serious charges that are currently before the courts.

Mangoma made a critical precedent case when he was the first minister to be arrested during his tenure in the Inclusive Government for corruption.

In the recent weeks he made headlines across society for adultery with a spouse of his junior in the MDC Renewal Team. That was too ugly and unimaginable that a man perceived as a father figure for his juniors in the party snatches one's spouse in broad day light. How can an aspiring national leader engage into such gross violation of social ethics? Right now someone's family is mourning over his sexual harangue which robbed the junior couple of its comfort to the extent of breaking up the marriage.

After having committed that sin, Mangoma could hardly face his counter-parts in the part. He ran away under the guise of forming a new political party. Mangoma should be warned that God is watching him for all his unforgivable sins that he is committing willingly.

One would imagine the impact of Mangoma's adulterous behaviour on the children of the broken family that endured his sexual ruthlessness. It is a real pity that children are silent victims in any divorce. These children are owed a life time apology by Mangoma. In view of these evils, how can we rally behind such a thoughtless home wrecker? It is high time that he is buried in the political dust-bins.

RDZ is a hopeless political gimmick which is unable to define even its founding values and the underlying ideology. Mangoma is a political scavenger which is just slowly feeding on the little remaining political fortunes of opposition parties in Zimbabwe which are facing total extinction due to their failure to craft workable policies in order to make them attractive to the electorate. Anyway, right thinking Zimbabweans will not take him seriously. If they do, they do so at their own peril as the man is void of sanity which is sufficient to make a difference to the local political landscape.

It is definite that RDZ is another off-shoot of MDC which will face extinction soon like any other such as MDC 99 and MDC-N. These are already part of the historical profile which characterizes opposition politics in Zimbabwe.
