Dr Nkomo was never a sellout, Mnangagwa is a liar.

ln response to the careless utterances of the Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa; that alluded to Dr Joshua Nkomo being a sellout were very unfortunate, yet very calculated by Mnangagwa. We all know how President Robert Mugabe denigrated Nkomo and called him names just for standing for the truth and the interests of the people of Zimbabwe. Even the former Vice President Joyce insulted Dr Joshua Nkomo for standing for Mr Masiyiwa, and the success of Mr Masiyiwa's businesses wholly vindicate the foresightedness of Nkomo.
It is shocking news to hear such name calling statements from a national leader like Mnangagwa, a man who is supposed to promote peace and unity of the nation or is it too much to ask of him such simple acts of humanity?
According to the news in the media; Mr Mnangagwa is reported to have said that Joshua Nkomo our father Zimbabwe umdala wethu was a sellout in the same mould and shape as the Muzorewas and others.
This carelessness is uncalled for, trying to change history will not work, Nkomo is an undisputed hero of the Zimbabwean liberation struggle, an un-paralleled leader in the whole of the African continent, maybe, he can only be rivalled by President Nelson Mandela.
My question is, how many people did Nkomo sell and for how much; who bought them and do you have valid proof that you can give it to the people of Zimbabwe?
History will record down Nkomo as one of the most selfless leader the country has ever had. He refused to represent the interests of the minority and he also refused to suppress the interests of the minority or of the majority, to him people were just people, be they White or black, Ndebele or Shona, women or men, people were equal and deserved to be respected at all the time.
Attacking a high profile such as Dr Nkomo who was patriotic and loyal to the people of Zimbabwe and the nation state of Zimbabwe is the highest form of unpatriotism. One wonders whether there is anyone in ZANU who will one day see sense and admit the contribution of ZAPU and ZIPRA in the liberation struggle. Nkomo sacrificed his life for the freedoms Mnangagwa is enjoying and abusing now.
Dr Nkomo was always above petty ZANU pf politics of personalities and childish insults, therefore the people of Zimbabwe without any shadow of a doubt will continue to love and respect him regardless of what Mnangagwa and people like him say about him.
