Bulawayo contributes 7 players to the under 17 national squad

Bulawayo province has contributed seven players to the initial under 17 national team that will participate in the African tournament scheduled for late this year.
The seven players are Happiness Marozva, Godfrey Makaruse (Highlanders Academy) Arnold Mpofu, Stanley Ngala, Bukhosi Sibanda (Bantu Rovers) Itai Mabhunu (Chicken Inn) Brendon Mpala (E.M. Sport).
In the provincial games played during the selection process Bulawayo beat Matebeleland North 1-0 before playing a 1-1 draw with Midlands.
In another game Midlands beat Matebeleland North 2-0. The other two provinces Matebeleleland South and Masvingo failed to turn up as they failed to raise teams at short notice.
