Highlanders Secretary Andrew Tapela revealed that they are now waiting for Platinum Stars to come back to them on defender Gilbert Banda, who spent some time with the Rustenburg-based club on trials.
Central defender Banda, who is also the Highlanders captain, spent a week on trials with the Owen da Gama coached Tycoons.
Banda flew back to Zimbabwe on Sunday morning with the rest of the Bosso squad that played a friendly against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.
Tapela said should Platinum Stars tell them that they were impressed with Gidza and show interest in signing him, Bosso will negotiate with them in good faith because at Highlanders they have a policy of not standing in the way of our players when they seek greener pastures.
On Saturday, Gilbert Banda was also watched closely by Supersport United scouts who also graced the friendly match at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.
Should Banda make the grade and go on to sign for Dikwena, he will become the fourth former Highlanders player to turn out for the club, after goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini (now with AmaZulu), winger Joel Luphahla (now at Caps United, Zimbabwe) and defender Bekithemba Ndlovu, who is now back at Highlanders.
