Bosso fraudulently register a player

HIGHLANDERS have been entangled in a player dispute after allegedly registering a junior player contracted by another club fraudulently. A Zifa Bulawayo province board member has been accused of fraudulently registering the player for Bosso.
Highlanders have since been ordered to stop using the player until the matter has been resolved.
McCathy Dube was registered by Highlanders during the second transfer window as one of the five juniors in the first team, but it has now emerged that he has a contract that expires at the end of 2016 with Famona-based FMH.
According to France Ndlovu, the FMH director, Dube has a running contract, which has a school fees payment clause.
Ndlovu said they have been paying Dube's school fees at Milton High School.
"Highlanders know very well that that boy is our player. They clandestinely registered him as their junior player last year without our consent," said Ndlovu.
"The boy actually started playing for them in 2013 and we discovered it when he would come to our Division Two first team side nursing an injury or claiming to be tired until some teams started phoning us to tell us that the boy would have played for Highlanders' juniors. How could that have been possible without a corrupt official at Zifa?" said Ndlovu
He said Highlanders should swallow their pride and tell the truth about the boy.
"When we started inquiring on why and how they registered our player as theirs, we discovered that they (Bosso) approached the player's parents and lied to them that they had reached an agreement with us. The parents then signed authorising Highlanders to register the player as theirs, but we never cleared the boy," fumed Ndlovu.
He said they had all the documents to prove their case, including copies of the contract and registration licences.
Ndlovu said it was not their intention to stop the player from joining Highlanders, but proper procedures must be followed.
"Surely for a club as big as Highlanders to lie to the whole world and claim that they developed McCathy yet they know the whole truth, is stooping rather too low."
Zifa Bulawayo province chairman Washington Sithole confirmed receiving FMH's complaint.
"They have sent us the so called contract and all the papers and we have since forwarded the documents to the (Zifa) chief executive officer Jonathan Mashingaidze in Harare and copied to the Premier Soccer League," said Sithole.
"Highlanders are also claiming the boy as their player and we have asked them to stop using him until the matter has been resolved," said Sithole.
