Caps United remembered how to beat Dynamos in a match that had everything.

Rufaro was filled to capacity in a match full of entertainment never resembled a pre season tie. Mandigora employed his favourite 4-4-2 formation with Mukuruva guarding the posts while Linyama and Mbara partnered at the heart of defense while Amini and Moyo played as right back and left back respectively.

Murwira played as a defensive midfielder while Mukanga was attack link while Machapa and Mambare where our wingers.

Simba partnered Bulaji upfront. Dynamos started off on the backfoot with Mutuma full of running showing a lot of enthusiasm but he was kept under lock and key by Mbara.

Dynamos had a clear sight at goal but Bulaji failed to beat Twaliki from close range and Simba blazed over his effort. The next attack went to to Caps and they forced a corner which Pfimbidzai flighted in and un marked Jangano poked in from three meters out.

Makepekepe threatened to extend their lead but against run off play Dynamos forced a free kick on the right flank.

Mukanga found himself unmarked in the box and headed the ball in to make it 1-1. The referee who spoiled the entertaining match with questionable calls to and against both Dynamos and Caps.

If we thought we had seen it all in the first half, oh boy were we wrong though it lacked goals the second half kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

In the 63 minute after A Dynamos corner Linyama headed the ball under challenge from Jangano. The two players shoved each other while on the turf and referee sent off both players.

Caps quickly adapted, as Dynamos pushed Murwira back to partner Mbara but later a struggling Mukanga was replaced by Makopa and Sekete replaced Mambare. Machapa was replaced by Amidu and Dynamos fourth substitute was Chungwa for Bulaji.

After the match fizzled to a full time draw we headed for penalties. The first five takers never gave the goal keepers a chance converting all their spot kicks but in penalties sudden death Makopa blazed his spot kick over to hand Caps united their first silverware. Tough luck Dynamos and Congratulations to Caps united
