Kaindu reads riot act

HOW Mine coach Kelvin Kaindu says he will show the door to some of his senior players for lack of commitment since the season began and replace them with juniors.
The gold miners are on position 13 on the log and have only amassed 21 points from 17 games, representing the worst start and position for Kaindu since he joined the Castle Lager Premiership as a coach in 2012.
The Zambian mentor tore into his players after a drawn match against log anchors Border Strikers last weekend saying it was a game they should have won had the players not been complacent.
Kaindu accused his players of exhibiting an "I don't care attitude" which has seen them managing only four wins, nine draws and four losses.
He said he would look to the juniors they registered during the mid-season transfer window that include a defender, two strikers and two goalkeepers.
The youngsters are 22-year-old Tinashe Mukanda, a left back snapped from Zim Leopards, Tamuna Jimson Matambanadzo (18) also a left back, Kudakwashe Muronza (18) left link, Nqobile Ndlovu (18) central striker, Prince Phiri (19) goalkeeper and Beavan Diya, whose father is former Dynamos goalkeeper and goalkeepers coach, Tichaona, were promoted from the junior ranks.
"The seniors have not being putting in much effort. In fact they have shown a negative attitude from the start and have been casual in their approach to games. We were complacent (in the game against Strikers) and gave them too much room to play, it seems we thought we are superstars and did things casually," said Kaindu.
Speaking at Luveve Stadium on Saturday last week, Kaindu said he was disappointed by lack of seriousness of the players despite having briefed them during team talk that they should leave nothing to chance.
He said he would be using more of the youngsters as he prepares to reduce the average age of the team from the current 33 to about 27 or 28 adding it was unhealthy to have such a mean age for a football team.
