POTENTIALLY exciting Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matches are lined up for Bulawayo tomorrow when defending champions Chicken Inn take on Tsholotsho in a local derby at White City Stadium, while How Mine entertain Chapungu at Luveve Stadium.

Tsholotsho are in a precarious position on the table, second from the bottom with 13 points from 19 games. To enhance their survival chances, the Zhwane Boys are hard-pressed for a victory against the champions.

Chicken Inn won the first leg 1-0, with striker Obidiah Tarumbwa grabbing the all-important goal, but tomorrow's encounter presents a challenge for the champions, who have been inconsistent.

Tsholotsho are targeting Chicken Inn's scalp, with their gaffer Lizwe Sweswe saying they need to win six out of their 11 matches to survive relegation.

Tsholotsho will be hoping that goalkeeper Mariyoni Chang, defenders MacClive Phiri, Nkosilathi Moyo, Thandolwenkosi Ncube and Spar Dube perform to expectations.

Zimiseleni Moyo, who joined the club during the midseason transfer window, Bruno Madanhire, Kriess Chitiyo and Ocient Ncube will compete for places in midfield, while Nicholas Mundandishe and Mustafa Ponyera should lead the strikeforce.

Chicken Inn, who drew 1-1 with Highlanders in a violence-marred match last Sunday, will be hoping to end their three-match winless streak by adding to Tsholotsho's woes.

On paper Chicken Inn are favourites to win the encounter, as they have a number of experienced players that led them to the championship last season.

Goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze, defenders Passmore Bernard, Devine Lunga, Lawrence Mhlanga and Moses Jackson are capable of stopping Tsholotsho's attackers and at the same time initiate attacks.

On a good day Chicken Inn midfielders Thabani Goredema, Tafadwza Kutinyu, Clemence Matawu, Pride Tafirenyika, George Majika and Chris Samakweri can dismantle any opposition, while Tarumbwa, Moses Demera and Ozias Zibanda can punish sloppy defending.

Victory for Chicken Inn will ease pressure on coach Rahman Gumbo.

Across town at Luveve, How Mine will be hoping to make it three wins in a row to stretch their unbeaten run to seven games.

They go into tomorrow's encounter coming from morale boasting wins over Harare City at home and away to Ngezi Platinum Stars.

How Mine and Chapungu drew 2-2 in the first leg, but judging by present form, the former are favourites to win this encounter.

Chapungu drew 0-0 against Chicken Inn and lost 0-1 to ZPC Kariba in their last two games.

The ZPC Kariba and Highlanders encounter at Nyamhunga Stadium completes Saturday's PSL matches.
