The Zimbabwe Warriors registered their first win at the Cecafa Tusker Challenge Cup after beating Djibouti 2-nil in their first group match.
FC Platinum striker, Donald Ngoma and Gunners captain, Qadr Amini got the goals to settle the affair for Zimbabwe.
The other group B tie ended with the home side Zanzibar shattering hopes of going past the group stages after they drew 0-0 with Burundi.
The Zimbabwean developmental side will meet Rwanda's Amavubi Stars on Tuesday.
