Caps United shoots to the top

The Zimbabwe Republic Police anti-riot unit had to be called in to calm tempers at Dulivhadzimo.

Rival Border Strikers and Caps United fans caused chaos and the no-nonsense cops moved in  to diffuse a potentially volatile situation.

Meanwhile, visiting Caps United cemented it's title credentials with a 3-1 victory to shoot to the top of the log standings.

The visitors had grabbed a 21 minute opener through  leading top goal scorer Leonard Tsipa.

The home side responded a minute later through Farai Mususunye.

Caps United regained the lead courtesy of Simba Nhivi two minutes before halftime.

Tafadzwa Rusike then added a third in the 88th minutes to seal a victory against ten men Border Strikers.
