DINGI CASH is one of Bulawayo's finest Hiphop Artists, who is fully devoted to hiphop and company branding.
In an interview the young artist said as a Co-Owner, Founder and Director at Masemitainment he has managed to groom music talents that have rocked Bulawayo Music scene since 2010 and brought an evolution to Bulawayo Music Industry today.
Masemitainment brought talents like Ma Eli, Khado, Amasyndicates, Seqa Mabhilidi, Rockers, Generalz, Crazy Boys etc, through hardwork and determination. Dingi Cash has currently moved to Capital City Harare for further development of Masemitainment.
Being born and raised in Gwabalanda, in a semi-detached house, that inspired the label Masemi.
"I made my mark in Bulawayo and influenced the youth to become musicians as a career," says Dingi Cash.
Dingi Cash was born 7 February 1988 and has been writing songs since he was in grade 6 (11years old). It's been 14 years since then and the dream chase continues.
"I always did music as a hobby and part time thing until I turned 21. I asked myself if I could grow to be anything what would it be. That's when I realized that I wanted to be a musician and if I am going to be a musician I have to start doing it fulltime and the right way. So I started a duo called Zasemasemi with Kares, which grew to be a movement, Record Label and now a Clothing Label.
"My 1st album was called Gadalala in 2010 because it was hard back then. I never got to finish the album because of the hardships but it got airplay on radio stations. The album had 4 tracks. It was followed by a Gadalala Mix tape because the single had made an impact and I had to do something even if the album could not come through.
"My 2nd album was released in 2012 an titled Zenzanjani. It had a music video Sonke Featuring Joe Maseko.
'My current album titled G-Wabalanda is still work in progress. It has few singles out and a video Sestshuna below.
Dingi Cash says Bulawayo artists do not get much support from club and radio disk jockeys (DJs).
"The challenges I have came across as Bulawayo Artist is that we do not get much support from the club DJs and radio Djs.
"We are loved, followed by fans and I appreciate that to the fullest but we need the DJs to play our music more so our fans can hear it wherever they go. I think the DJs have to find out what people are listening to out there and play it as well. Whether its international or local. That is clearly the DJs job, I think."
