Zimpapers donates teaching equipment to LSU

ZIMPAPERS Company last week donated various pieces of teaching equipment which included desk tops, printers, Camera, Projector and Projector screen to Lupane State University at the University's Main Campus.
The equipment was valued at ten thousand dollars ($10 000.00).
An additional $2000 was also donated towards the best performing student in the languages department.
Addressing people who attended the Handover Ceremony, Lupane State University Vice Chancellor Professor Pardon Kuipa highlighted the importance of the equipment that was donated to the Institution.
"I have no shade of doubt that this generous donation that Zimpapers has extended to us will immensely improve the quality of research and teaching being conducted by our languages lecturers", said Professor Kuipa.
During the Handover Ceremony, Zimpapers Board Member Mr Felix Moyo urged staff members to take into consideration that the young scholars of today are the future leaders of tomorrow hence the need to equip them with essential tools.
"Young people being educated today are the Journalists, Engineers and Artisans of tomorrow hence they must have access to Information and Communication Technology.
Addressing attendants during the Ceremony,Languages lecturer Mr Nkululeko Sibanda told Zimpapers and LSU management, Staff and Students that the donated equipment to be used in the Media Laboratory will make a huge contribution to practical learning.
The occasion was graced by Zimpapers Staff members comprising of Zimpapers Board member Mr Felix Moyo, Ms Karen Dube, Zimpapers Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Manager Ms B. Tonhodzayi, Pauline Matanda, also from the Zimpapers Corporate Affairs Unit and Journalists.
This donation comes at a time when efforts are being made to expand instructional infrastructure to further the progress of the growth of Lupane State University.
