Ketina Murambiwa (32) a teacher at Masimba Evanhu Primary School in Chiredzi has allegedly dumped her husband of eight years after the later paid all her fees to go through a teacher training programme.
Masvingo Mirror reported that allegations are that Murambiwa is leaving her husband for another teacher named Chaseman Mirokai who is understood to be a teacher at Dombo Primary School in Chiredzi.
Paul Madyazvivi who is not formally employed could not hide his anger at the alleged behavior of his wife when he came into The Mirror newsroom last week.
When contacted for comment Murambiwa said she had no idea of the issue before cutting off the conversation.
Efforts to get a comment from Mirokai were fruitless as his mobile was not reachable.
However, Madyazvivi said that Mirokai who heard that the issue would come out in The Mirror phoned the former and pleaded with him not to go to the newspapers with the case. He is alleged to have told Madyazvivi that he (Mirokai) would crash anything that would come out in the media.
Madyazvivi who is customarily married to Murambiwa sent his wife to Masvingo Teachers' College and paid all the fees including selling his cattle.
After graduating in 2010 Murambiwa got a job in Chiredzi at Masimba Evanhu Primary School.
Murambiwa allegedly met Mirokai in Chiredzi and the two started seeing each other as Madyazvivi was struggling to make a living in Masvingo.
"I stay in Rujeko and Mirokai also stays in the same suburb. During the holidays Murambiwa would come home at 12 midnight from her boyfriend's place. She would also visit the boyfriend at Dombo Primary where he teaches and spent the weekend there," said Madyazvivi.
He said he found out about the affair after reading Murambiwa's whats app chat with Mirokai.
"When I confronted her she walked out on me leaving me with absolutely nothing. She loaded away all our property. Mirokai is a divorcee, who left his wife to wreck my marriage," Madyazvivi.
Madyazvivi says his former wife is now planning on taking custody of their eight-year-old son and thereafter claim maintenance
