Guns, police and army uniforms recovered at crash scene

Two fire arms, Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) uniform and Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) uniform were recovered in a Toyota Corolla Runx they were travelling in after it overturned and killed the driver on the spot on Friday at the 154 km peg along Harare-Mkukumbura road in Mt Darwin.
Sources close to investigations told Bulawayo24.com that George Mupandare (41) was driving a Runx registration number AEL 2832 with Tendai Mupanze (26) before it overturned killing him on the spot.
Mupanze escaped with injuries and was rushed to Mt Darwin hospital where he was examined by nurses and fled unnoticed after seeing police details.
The police conveyed the body of the deceased at Mt Darwin hospital and subsequently searched the wrecked where they found two fire arms and uniform of ZRP and ZNA respectively.
