Pitso Mosimane hypes Zimbabwean football players

Pitso Mosimane, renowned South African football coach, credited Zimbabwean players for contributing significantly to his coaching success in the Premier Soccer League. During an interview on the Marawa Sports Worldwide show with Robert Marawa, Mosimane highlighted how players from Zimbabwe played a crucial role in his achievements.

Mosimane, known for his coaching prowess with successes including three CAF Champions League titles (one with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2016 and two with Al Ahly in 2020 and 2021), emphasized his strategy of recruiting talent from Zimbabwe. He mentioned players such as Khama Billiat, Cuthbert Malajila, Method Mwanjali, and Kuda Mahachi among others, whom he relied on during his coaching stints.

The coach revealed his practice of conducting pre-season training in Zimbabwe and engaging in matches against local teams like CAPS United, Highlanders, and Dynamos. Mosimane praised the talent pool in Zimbabwe, expressing confidence that he could unearth promising players through such initiatives. He hinted at the potential of discovering talents who could later be transferred to prominent South African clubs like Sundowns, Pirates, or Chiefs.
