A warrant of arrest has been issued for Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) pastor Chirashanye Magora (53), after he failed to appear in court for routine remand proceedings.

The warrant was issued by Regional Magistrate Innocent Bepura after Magora, who was out on bail, failed to attend court on April 8, 2026. He has since not been seen, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

Magora is facing rape charges involving a 13-year-old girl. As part of his bail conditions, he was required to report to Chikato Police Station every Monday and Thursday, but authorities say he has not complied since disappearing.

According to sources, only his wife has been attending church services at the Mucheke-based congregation of the Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe, while the pastor himself has not been seen since the warrant was issued.

The bail was initially granted by Justice Zisengwe.

Court documents allege that the offences occurred between December 2025 and February 2026. It is alleged that the accused raped the complainant on multiple occasions at his home and threatened her to remain silent.

On February 16, 2026, the complainant reportedly escaped and sought help at Chikato Primary School, where she confided in the school head, Stanley Zhonje, who escorted her to police. This led to Magora's arrest.

He is now wanted by police, and proceedings are expected to continue upon his apprehension.
