Clerk of Parliament Austin Zvoma, was on Thursday caught up in the ongoing exposes about executives at public institutions believed to be earning "obscene salaries" after an opposition MDC-T MP called for an inquiry into his salary and perks amid claims that he was living lavishly.
Mbizo MP Settlement Chikwinya said Zvoma, who has been Clerk of Parliament for nearly three decades, had weakened the legislature because of his long stay.
Chikwinya made the call while debating a motion on corruption which was introduced in the National Assembly by Kambuzuma MP Willias Madzimure (MDC-T) and was supported by legislators from across the political divide.
