Mthwakazi Republic Party has described Home Affair Minister Obert Mpofu as a disgrace for the Mthwakazi people following his threats against the Mthwakazi activists over the disruption of National Peace and Reconciliation Commission Composition of the committee.

"We take note of the warning by the coup government apologist, Obert Mpofu, in today's Chronicle, of the imminent arrests of MRP activists and supporters. Our knowledge of the history of Obert Mpofu reminds us that he has never spoken from his own job description, but that of the genocidal ZANU clique," said the party.

"We are surprised and shocked with this warning of arrests on MRP members. This proves beyond doubt that cabinet business in Zimbabwe is not done according to the constitution, but Zanla command. Surely we did not exercise our constitutional right of airing our grievances before the NPRC, at the mercy of government. We expected to be arrested by this monstrous government, and were shocked when a government that does not respect human rights, did not effect arrests. If we had infringed the constitution of Zimbabwe, why were we not arrested then. Our arrests are long over due and we have always been anticipating them with open hands."

The party said Mpofu has naturally been a traitor in his whole life.

"He is even rumoured to have been a member of Froliz, a movement of traitors. He has obviously survived clandestinely. Obert's claim of churches complaining about MRP is mind boggling. We have engaged with the Mthwakazi churches and they are unambiguous on their disgust of the composition of the NPRC committee. It is perhaps such churches like those of Andrew Wutaunashe who called Mnangagwa to come and butcher our people, on the 31st of December 2017 at Zimbabwe International Trade Fair. While our people were being beaten to pulp by the military Wutawunashe was christening Mnangagwa as the biblical Joseph," MRP said.

"We note that there are some political churches within Mthwakazi that fulfil the mandate of the grand plan. Part of page 11 of the shona grand plan reads: "Some churches too are beginning to realise the trend of times. They have introduced strictly Shona services- a very pertinent move towards achieving our goal. All churches nation-wide must conduct services in Shona to achieve that national cohesion and singular Zimbabwe national identity".

MRP said such churches exist in Mthwakazi and perhaps Obert is referring to such.

"His threats comes in the heels of another by the so called Matabeleland North war vets vice chairperson Stanley Ncube. There is evidently a co- ordination of evil against MRP by the coup regime. Obert Mpofu, the man whom Prof Jonathan Moyo once referred to him as a man with a big body like an elephant, but a small brain like a lizard, owes respect to the people of Mthwakazi. We are busy as a party compiling a dossier of the elimination plans by the Military police and Zanu, for the murder of MRP leaders. The nation will be informed soon. The government of Mnangagwa is proving to be even more evil than that of his predecessor," MRP said.

"We are also in the process of informing the international community through their respective embassies of this heinous plan to avoid the ignorance that was displayed by the world towards and during the Gukurahundi atrocities. We have been waiting for this attitude of the Harare government, especially the intimidating instincts of this military government. We remind Obert Mpofu that the might of the people of Mthwakazi is bigger than any system. The 1979 grand plan failed to stifle the resolve identity, and nationhood of the people of Mthwakazi."

The party said it is very fortunate on its part that they have done justice to the people of Mthwakazi by revealing the insincerity of Mnangagwa's government on the part of the NPRC.

"This government can rest assured now that when the condemned commission comes to Bulawayo again, only ZANU Pf members will attend its business. We thank the people of Bulawayo who through the people's party, overwhelmingly rejected the ZANU commission," said Njabulo Ngwenya the party's foreign Affairs secretary.
