Plumtree residents appeal for help on burst dam wall

Crisis is looming around areas of Mahole, Jutshume, Mbimba, Makhulela and Ndolwane and other sarounding areas. This is the main source providing water for people, live stock and wild animals including herds of elephants roaming the area.
Mabhongani dam is situated about 140km North West of the border town of Plumtree. Mabhongani has been a self sustaining water source going up to two years in periods of acute drought. But all that is gradually disappearing into oblivion by day since the time the dam wall collapsed some two years ago. Until this day all endeavours to fix it has been a pipeline dream.
"We're appealling to any organisation that could help us mend this dam wall" pleaded Difa Wajapi Dube.
"Animals are annoiying villagers during dry seasons seeking water around homes which is more dangerous even for kids when going to school.
