The appointment of the Chief Justice welcome gesture but what informed it?

This is not a complaint but just to let the people know we see even when we are not saying much and always taken for granted. As the Liberal Democrats, we are elated at the appointment of the Chief Justice, Justice Luke Malaba after his outstanding performance during the public interviews. As disturbing as the scores of the interviews which tended to show that Justice Makarau was closely preferred but the final result is more welcome, and therefore we will not dwell on that.
We take this opportunity to congratulate Justice Malaba and hope that his swearing in will not be hindered by anything. Justice Malaba we hope you will stand for justice and the people of Zimbabwe alike, we hope this is the dawn of a new era in Zimbabwean Jurisprudence. We hope that your leadership will be sober and not skewed towards pleasing anyone in government whoever it be if they be wrong. We hope that you knew you could be assassinated if your decisions were not pleasurable to certain sects of the country when you applied but you did it because you are a brave man.
Our hopes as Zimbabweans are pinned on you doing the Zimbabweans the service of serving them and ensuring that justice is done, as it ought to be done. Justice Malaba, fate put you there you must understand this. You were not a preferred candidate. Our candid view is that destiny or fate whichever way you look at it got you there because your appointment is as a result of the factionalism in ZANU, and the manipulation that so easily happens to the elderly President who is no longer doing as he wishes because of old age but ever being manipulated by her highness the first lady.
We take this opportunity to thank the first lady for ensuring justice prevailed despite her nature of being nothing closer to sensibility and humanity. Her hand was forced in a bid to thwart the Mnangagwa faction, the decisions of the JSC had to be upheld and sooner than the amendment of the constitution because had this waited until then, the President would have been manipulated by the Mnangagwa faction by telling him they did it for him and he must therefore appoint whomever they suggested because they gave him more power and at his age he would have obliged.
The G40 acted decisively and Zimbabwe benefits. Mr Chidyausiku the one thing you did right in all your life was the fight for the JSC on this appointment because of your hidden political agendas because you feared your terror would also come back to bite you as an ordinary citizen with hopes of being in politics. You therefore acted thus to ensure that maybe you will not be unfairly dealt with when you approach the courts or your chosen friends do. Bravo, well played Sir, we have been ponies in your game and we still are but this last move was honourable and we thank you for it.
To fellow Zimbabweans it is clear that poetic justice, fate, destiny or whatever you call it sometimes changes, the wheel of fortune and the pendulum swings, the events above are just a few that have worked together for some good but as to whether we will see this and wake up to it and use it to our advantage that is something else. This is the opportunity to build systems in Zimbabwe that are not going to be breached. The Constitutional amendment on the appointment must still not go forward because no President in Zimbabwe must have such unfettered power, no matter how good and philanthropic the person is.
At this moment Zimbabwean politics is seemingly polarized on the basis of opposition to ZANU and pro ZANU, this is a great danger and detrimental to the country. Anything but ZANU is like anything but Mbeki in RSA in 2007, see what it gave South Africa, a monstrosity of Mr Zuma and the current ANC. We do not want another 40years of another conceited, ego boosted savior who things they are the one and all, and only person befitting of solving the Zimbabwean woes. In a country of more than 15 million, indeed everyone must do their piece while time permits and once it is over they must go despite having not achieved their goals because all things are done within time constraints.
The question is where to now? We seem almost dumbstruck and the appointment of Justice Malaba is as if it did not happen because even critics have nothing to say, IT IS A GOOD THING! it's never about criticizing, it's about a rotten system that benefits the patrimoniliasts and their agendas. There is hope after all, thank you Mrs Mugabe we are aware of your efforts in this instance but that's as far as it goes and your Presidential ambitions are your right but you just don't cut it, you have caused more harm than good, maybe this one good did, even if it was for selfish reasons. will get you some respect, better claim it openly.
