AmaZulu suffered another injury setback with news that Tapuwa Kapini will still be missing for the team's upcoming games, Soccerladuma reported.
The goalkeeper told the Siya crew that he is suffering from an injury he picked up in the game against Mamelodi Sundowns three weeks ago.
"I'm wearing a neck brace at the moment. I don't really know what's happening. My neck has been painful and I didn't take it seriously at first. I thought I was going to be fine.
"I went to a doctor and I was told that there is a problem. The doctor suggested that I put a neck brace for two weeks and we'll see what happens.
"This is something related to the game against Sundowns. It's that second goal. I collided with Marc van Heerden but I didn't take it seriously. I was just going for check-ups and taking treatment. It was bothering me until the physiotherapist recommended that I see a specialist.
"I had an MRI scan on Monday and it was decided that the solution was to put a neck brace. They said it's going to take two weeks and we will see the improvement. We will have a discussion again on what the solution will be if there is no improvement after two weeks. Maybe it will require an operation or I will keep on wearing the neck brace," said Kapini.
Philani Zikalala has been in goals for Usuthu in the last three league games. AmaZulu also have Larry Horaeb out with an injury.
