Sports and Recreation Minister Makhosini Hlongwane has claimed that he has 'good evidence' on current messy match fixing saga.

Last week, Zimbabwe football was thrown into a crisis amid revelations that a shadowy Asian betting syndicate was plotting to manipulate Zimbabwe's 2017 Nations Cup qualifiers against Swaziland .

Several people including, Henrietta Rushwaya, the former ZIFA chief executive, former Warriors coach Ian Gorowa  and Zimbabwe international goalkeeper, George Chigova have been sucked in.

However, posting  on his official twitter handler, Hlongwane said he has evidence.

He posted "Morning guys. Making good progress on the match fixing case. Good evidence at hand. God help us teach people a good lesson".

MDC-T national spokesperson Obert Gutu quickly responded saying,  "@MakhosiniNgwane Cde,  just make sure a thorough investigative job is done. These match fixers are very sly and elusive.

Hlongwane said "Intention is to get to the bottom of the matter. We should be able to deal with this one,".

However, journalist, Tonderayi Mukeredzi seem to doubt Hlongwane's claims.

"@MakhosiniNgwane If evidence is there, why have the culprits not been arrested yet".
