Increased usage of plastic money and the adoption of innovative banking products will dominate discussions during the 2016 Zimbabwe SMEs Banking and Micro Finance Summit set for next week.
Stakeholders on the local financial services sector, government officials, captains of industry and the country's cooperating partners are set to converge in Harare for the summit set for Wednesday the 29th of June.
A representative of the event's organising committee, Mr Nicky Moyo said participants are set to come up with strategies to consolidate gains made so far in promoting usage of plastic money and financial inclusion.
Some of the objectives of the summit include promoting micro-insurance for financial inclusion, identifying best practices in innovative partnerships of financial inclusion and sharing insights into mobile banking as a tool for financial inclusion.
The summit, to be hosted by the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society, will be running under the theme: 'Financing Agriculture Value Chains and SMEs Development.'
