Former X Factor hopeful Gamu Nhengu yesterday dedicated a performance to her Scottish fans.
Gamu, 19, took the stage at the annual Scribbler's Picnic in Stirling to raise cash for cancer charities.
The singer, who is fighting deportation, said the performance was "a thank-you to the community for their support".
And she revealed the event was especially poignant for her as her father Thompson died from lung cancer when she was a youngster in Zimbabwe.
Gamu said: "This is really the first time most people in Scotland have been able to see me since X Factor and it's an honour for me.
"This festival is near my home in Tillicoultry, so it's a chance to say thanks to a lot of people who have supported me in the last year.
"My own dad died from cancer when I was three, back in Zimbabwe.
"So this festival is also personal for me and a chance to do something."
Gamu, 19, got through to the judges' houses stage of X Factor but was not chosen for the live finals by mentor Cheryl Cole.
