Urban Grooves musician Rockford Josphats, popularly known as Roki in music circles, is heartbroken following his recent split from songstress Ammara Brown and has penned a single - "Pore Pore" - to declare his undying love.
The music couple who recently featured in a new video for Roki's song titled "Number 1", announced their breakup on social media with Ammara saying "they were now just friends". Ammara refused to disclose the reason for their separation.
The break-up comes after Roki and Ammara seemed to display their affection on the video in which they are portrayed as a happy and intimate couple.
However, the "Chidzoka" hitmaker in an interview said he has been hit hard by the break-up, adding Ammara was the "real" woman for him.
"I still love her very much. I think Ammara was the real woman for me. Maybe one day we will find ourselves in each other's arms again. I have actually written and dedicated a song to her called 'Pore Pore'," he said.
"She could separate work from leisure. As musicians we love our music more than anything else. I don't know if l will find another real woman. I will have to ask God for a woman like her," he said.
On the song he sings about his intentions to be with Ammara forever and paying the bride price as well as "putting a ring on her finger".
Despite the break-up, Roki professed his undying love saying he would lurk in the shadows until an opportunity for reunion presents itself.
He said the relationship suffered a stillbirth because it became too serious before the appropriate time.
"We had been very close even before the death of her father but along the way we drifted apart, I will make sure she stays close. I will not rush because it will mess things up," he said.
Ammara's was not reachable for comment on Roki's assertions as her mobile phone was not reachable yesterday.
Roki said he was finding solace in his music and was working on his upcoming collaborations with Nesto, Exq and Ammara on a single titled "Halleluyah" which will be released this month.
Roki has been involved with several women and is reported to have sired six children with five women.
