Bulawayo has proved to be a good hunting ground for popular South African house music queen Ntombezinhle "DJ Zinhle" Jiyane who is set to perform at an all-white party on Saturday.
DJ Zinhle, who is regarded by many as Mzansi's most talented female disc jockey, will perform in the
14-hour gig where revellers will, among other things, braai, swim and get opportunities for photo shoots.
Mduduzi Mdlongwa, the show's organiser, says the gig is all about celebrating the beautiful women in the City of Kings.
"DJ Zinhle is coming to encourage women in Bulawayo to follow their dreams as they can be anything they want to be in life. This is a gig dedicated to women," said Mdlongwa.
In an arena in which women have generally been underrated, DJ Zinhle has consistently proven that women disc jockeys have what it takes to give their male counterparts a good run for their money.
Her exceptional skills on the turntables have won the endorsement of South Africa-based Zimbabwean musician Oscar "Oskido" Mdlongwa who has mentored her.
Oskido is proud of his protégé's achievements.
"Being able to spot talent and brewing it keeps me going. Watching someone's career take off and grow makes me happy. Look at DJ Zinhle and Professor - I am so proud of them," said Oskido in a recent interview with a South African weekly.
The 30-year-old My Name Is hit-maker, whose spinning skills have also taken her to the United Kingdom, United States of America and Swaziland, is expected to return to Zimbabwe again during this year's festive season.
City of Kings revellers are looking forward to enjoying hits from the popular South African DJ's 11-track album titled Feminine Touch which was recorded under the Kalawa Jazmee Records label.
