HEARTBROKEN Mduduzi Mkhize (44) has given up looking for his son's head.
The headless body of Mzwandile (6) was found floating in the Phambela River in Nsuze, near Ndwedwe, on Sunday. The little boy had been missing for three days.
Daily Sun reported that cops have since been searching around the clock for the boy's head, with no luck.
Mduduzi, who was raising the child alone, said: "I don't think we'll ever find my son's head. I don't believe it's in the river. I believe it was sold to an inyanga for muthi."
Cops are waiting for the DNA results before handing the body over to the family.
"All I want is to bury him as soon as possible," said Mduduzi.
But South African Traditional Healers Association President, Sazi Mhlongo, warned that burying the body without its head could bring bad luck to the Mkhize family.
"They must go to a strong inyanga who will force any other inyanga to return the head. The spirit of Mzwandile will never rest in peace if the family buries him without his head," said Sazi.
