Zimbabwean male nurse struck off the UK nursing register for sexual misconduct

A UK based ZIMBABWEAN male nurse from Doncaster, Sydney Moyo, has been struck off the UK nursing register on the grounds of "sexual misconduct", "dishonesty" and "entrenched attitudinal problems" the ZimEye reported.
According to the ZimEye another Zimbabwean nurse in the some area was last year axed after being found guilty, growing a Mbanje drug(Cannabis) farm at his property and stealing an electric supply for this purpose.
Charges against Sydney Moyo are that the man reportedly asked a female colleague if she would "do" another woman member of staff, and on a separate occasion told another nurse to come "sit on me, you know you want to..."
Moyo is a married man.
The nurse was in addition to the above, found guilty of misconduct for another offence of allegedly slapping a female support worker in the face and failed to disclose a previous conviction for a drink driving conviction, the Nursing and Midwifery Council's Conduct and Competence Committee found.
The man was employed as a senior staff nurse at Cheswold Park Hospital in Doncaster when he made crude sexual comments to colleagues between 2008 and 2009.
After a hearing at the NMC Centrium in London on March 27, the disciplinary panel said Moyo had shown "alarming lack of insight" into his failings and was "liable to repeat them".
The NMC told Moyo: "Your conviction and misconduct mark a series of serious departures from the standards set out in the Code. You have deeply entrenched attitudinal problems and you continue to lack an appropriate understanding of the seriousness and impact of your failings.
"The panel has concluded that your failings are fundamentally incompatible with your continued registration as a nurse. In all the circumstances, the panel has concluded that a striking off order is the only appropriate and proportionate response to your conviction and misconduct."
Moyo faced a total of 11 charges relating to a dishonest declaration of his previous convictions, making homophobic statements, violence towards a co-worker and making inappropriate sexual comments.
The inquiry heard that on June 18, 2008, Moyo filled out a job application form and failed to disclose a previous conviction for drink driving.
He was further convicted on March 13, 2009, for resisting or obstructing a police constable and on April 29, 2009, for a public order offence.
On both occasions, the inquiry was told, he failed to inform his employers as required under the NMC code of practice.
In or around December 2008, Moyo slapped a support worker in the face while they were in the kitchen.
On April 5, 2009, Moyo is said to have called out to a colleague, Gemma Hallatt, and then pointing to another staff member identified only as Assistant B, said words to the effect of "would you do her?".
Besides Moyo, another nurse will this month stand trial for sexual charges which almost always lead to a striking order
