  • The 'politics' of food assistance in Plumtree

    PLUMTREE - Communities of Bulilima and Mangwe have condemned the way the food relief programme administered by the government's social welfare department is handled, saying the most vulnerable communities are left out.



    Most of the affected families include the disabled, orphans and elderly members of the communities who do not have any means for survival.



    This programme explores first hand stories of some of the victims of unfair distribution of food and is targeted at humanitarian organisations who provide food aid as well as local policy-makers who have the responsibility of ensuring that all persons, especially the most vulnerable have access to food.
