First Lady Grace Mugabe has shown the  High Court a middle finger as she defied an order to move out from properties  she seized from a Lebanese diamond dealer.

Grace is embroiled in a  court battle with  Jamal Ahmed over a $1,3 million diamond ring deal.

High Court judge Justice Clement Phiri  had issued a 24 hour  order on  21 December for Grace to leave the premises.

He said the sheriff would be granted permission to evict the occupants if the order was ignored.

According to reports, Ahmed's lawyer, Beatrice Mtetwa said they had now approached the Deputy Sheriff of the High Court.

"We have decided to engage the sheriff to evict them because they have refused to comply with the High Court order.

"We are not yet sure as to when will the sheriff execute our request as was stated by the court," she is quoted as saying.

Grace was taken to court by Ahmed after she took over three of his properties, demanding that he repay the $1.35m she had paid for a diamond ring that she then decided she did not want.

Ahmed said Grace had made an order for the $1.35m diamond ring in Dubai.

The ring was  for her 20th wedding anniversary but she then refused to take delivery of the diamond and instead demanded a full refund.

To avoid trouble the businessman offered to repay the money in installments and has paid back $150 000 already, he said in court documents.

Grace, 51, married President Robert Mugabe in 1996.
