A MAN from Gwanda allegedly stabbed and killed a drinking mate after a misunderstanding over a cap.
Matabeleland South acting police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Thabani Mkhwananzi confirmed that the law enforcers were investigating a case in which Wellington Sithali (19) allegedly stabbed Nkosilathi Nare (21) on the buttocks after a misunderstanding arose over a cap that Nare had taken the previous day.
"On May 18, Sithali, Nare and others were drinking beer at Nhwali business centre where a misunderstanding arose between Nare and Sithali over a cap that was taken by Nare,'' Mkhwananzi said.
He said Sithali left for home and came back armed with a knife, whip and stones and waited for Nare outside the business centre.
Mkhwananzi said Nare was informed by others that Sithali was waiting outside and went to check on him. Sithali allegedly stabbed Nare on the buttocks.
