Zimbabwe records 1 COVID-19 death

Zimbabwe recorded one new Covid -19 death as at May 25 to bring the total deaths to 1 587 since the start of the pandemic.
According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC), the country recorded 38 706 cumulative cases, 1 587 deaths and 36 517 recoveries as at May 25.
The death case is from Bulawayo province.
There are 10 new local Covid-19 cases.
A total of 1 416 Covid -19 tests were conducted as at the same date.
According to the Ministry, as of May 25 2021, a total of 5 918 people received their first vaccine doses bringing total of 639 553 people being vaccinated with the first dose vaccine.
So far 7 151 people have received their second dose bringing the total to 288 437 people.
Harare province continues to dominate with 13 191 cumulative cases and 612 deaths whilst Matabeleland province has the lowest cumulative cases of 1 440 and 19 deaths.
The national recovery rate now stands at 94, 3 percent.
