THE Mzilikazi woman whose seven-day old baby was stolen from her house by a stranger last week has enlisted the services of prophets and inyanga as part of efforts to recover her baby.
In an interview yesterday, Mrs Nqotshiwe Sibanda said the prophets she has consulted so far were saying her baby girl is "alive and well."
"They said the person who stole my baby wanted to keep her as her own. They said that person is not too far from where I live," said Mrs Sibanda.
She said the prophets guaranteed her that the baby would be returned to her.
"The traditional healers I have engaged are also telling me similar things and I will remain hopeful that my baby will return.
"I am not going to stop the search and in fact, I will not rest until I get my baby back. My neighbours are helping me with the search," said Mrs Sibanda.
She said they had conducted searches for the baby at bus termini and surrounding suburbs.
Mrs Sibanda met a stranger and offered her food at her house before the woman stole her baby at night.
The stranger woke up and stole the baby along with its clothes.
A report was made to the police, who are also searching for the baby.
