Police arrest, detain five human rights activists in Harare

Police in Zimbabwe have reportedly arrested arrested and detained five human rights activists for staging a protest at Rainbow Towers in Harare against the continued stay of Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko in a hotel.
Zimbabwe Lawyers for Humana Rights Communications Officer Kumbirai Mafunda indicated that Human rights lawyers are attending at Harare Central Police Station where police officers are about to charge them with criminal nuisance in contravention of Section 46 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform).
"The five include Tendai Tendayi Lynnette Mudehwe, Dirk Frey, Irvin Takavada, Elvis Mugari and Tonderai Chigumbu," said Mafunda.
