Dad accused of squandering money on alcohol forgetting children

A Harare woman has taken her husband to court for being a drunkard and neglecting the family and children.
Masiiwa Munemo accused her husband Luckson Maimba of squandering money in drinking alcohol and forgetting children.
She demanded that she maintains the family with $200 a month for the two children since he is not taking responsibility of the children. She said the children need money for food and school fees.
"We are staying together but he loves beer too much," she said.
But the husband said the elder child would be turning 18 and it would not be fair for him to pay for all of them maintenance.
Magistrate Yeukai Dzuda advised Munemo to inform her 18 year old daughter to approach the court if she wants her father to pay her maintenance before ordering Maimba to pay $40 per month.
