A HARARE woman was granted a protection order against her estranged husband whom she accused of assaulting, insulting and stalking her.
Hazvinei Chito appeared before a civil court magistrate accusing her husband Tafadzwa Chinambakore of assaulting and stalking her.
"We separated in January this year and he now comes to my house and assaults me. He once sat outside my house for hours," she said.
Chito also accused her husband of throwing her out of their matrimonial home twice before they finally separated.
"He threw me out of our house twice and I always forced my way back. He threw me out of the matrimonial home again in January and I did not go back that time," she said.
However, Chinambakore opposed his wife's application, claiming she deserted their matrimonial home and stole their property.
Chinambakore said he waited outside his wife's new home to confirm that she was still alive.
