Mthwakazi activist Hloniphani Ncube said the President Emmerson Mnangagwa's alleged assassination attempt was stage managed.

"I am one of the people who believe that the people of Mthwakazi are a peace loving, tolerant and and above all patient society in spite of the painful history that they have gone through as a result of Mnangagwa's schemes. I would like to believe that, yesterday's White City explosion was staged or dramatic for these following reasons. The first reason is, this might have been done to portray Mnangagwa as an untouchable leader or what one might call a survivor. I believe if ever my people would one day plan such a mission it would never fail, mark my words," he said.

"Secondly, this might have been done to portray the people of Bulawayo as violent thugs hence requiring an intensive security to be put in place. To the international community this security would look like a mechanism to contain unrest, whilst on the ground the security forces deployed would be instilling fear and in some instances implementing another genocide. Remember Mnangagwa was previously the brain behind all evils that were committed by Robert Mugabe and ZANU PF, thus why Mugabe is safe in Zimbabwe even after loosing power."

He said the other reason might have been to portray his army as a powerful army with the capacity to rescue him and save him. It's obviously Mnangagwa is after posturing himself as a messiah just like what ZANU PF used to view Mugabe.

"So all these dramatic programs have to be implemented to boost his ego. In simple terms this whole explosion nonsense was cooked like the bombings that have occurred at Chronicle and other places. I would also like to believe that the poisoning saga that he talks about was also a ploy to intensify his coup plans just like the previous violence that occurred at White City. Whilst our people are angry about what is going on in their land, one thing I know about them is that they are smart. The Mnangagwa's dream for a retaliating Bulawayo may one day come true, and on that day a target might not be missed," he said.
