Public relations specialist Never Maswerasei has alleged that the move by the War Veterans Association to oust Ambassador Christophe Mutsvangwa is a plot by bthe anti Mnangagwa faction of ZANU PF to weaken the President.
In a tweeter thread Maswerasei said:
I do not support Mutsvangwa's demeanour but I will put it to you he is being sacrificed at the instance of the cartel that wants to continue plundering the economy while enriching themselves. His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa risks being left exposed and without anybody genuine on his side.
The plan at hand is to silence all voices of reason that threaten the agenda of 25 to 30 people controlling the levers of power. It will be much easier to control the President when his closest allies and tacticians are isolated and silenced. Mutsvangwa s crime is exposing the cartel.
Once everybody who seemed to support the President's thrust against corruption is out of the way, Mnangagwa will be left with no choice but to dump his new direction. Ndivengei zvenyu but the cartel has a hierarchy with an executive of its own, middle managers and runners.
It will be much easier to manipulate and replace a President who has no genuine support on his side. They will be saying takutora chinhu chedu because you are not cooperating with us in our agenda to continue plundering. This is the reason why they are playing games with economy.
They know that manipulating the economy further by instructing Ncube not to remove bond will taint ED and increase public resentment of him as someone who has failed. With the citizens pumped-up appetite for a performing economy, they will be pleased to see him being replaced.
There will be mini-celebrations again on the street but let me put it to you that the cycle of economic murder will continue and this time at high octane levels. The one whom the cartel wants to replace ED has higher content of corruption in his body system than blood.
On Wednesday Mashonaland Province chapter of the War Veterans association met and officially passed a Vote of no confidence on embattled War Vets Chairperson Ambassador Mutsvangwa.
