Obert Mpofu plans mining university

Mines and Mining Development minister Obert Mpofu, fresh from acquiring a controlling stake at ZABG Bank plans to splash his wealth again.
Mpofu now wants to set up a mining university at his rural Umguza constituency.
"Am planning building a university to focus on mining in Umguza constituency... that would be real development," said Mpofu to Chambers of Mines conference delegates in Victoria Falls Friday.
Mpofu, who has vast properties in Matabeleland North did not elaborate on the proposed university.
It is not clear whether he has already got an operating licence and when construction would start.
The School Of Mines in Bulawayo is the only institute that offers mining studies.
