A City woman has confessed that she was caught in bed with another man.
Christina Machale yesterday opened up before Harare Civil Court after Noah Gwatidzo that her husband Nokote Ali had no right to beat her after he caught her with another man.
She dragged Ali to court seeking protection order.
"He caught me with another man but that does not give him the right to beat me.
"After the incident he has been abusing me every day.
"He calls me a prostitute in front of my minor children," she said.
Christiana told the court how she ended up cheating on her husband.
"He does not buy food; he is failing to maintain his children.
"I had to look for other means to take care of my family," she added.
Ali told the court that he had been angered by his wife's acts.
"I admit that beating her up was not right but I struggle to look after the family and she is not satisfied.
"She is into prostitution. I caught her with another man in our house that's why I always beat her.
"I am worried about the character that she is teaching my children," he said.
Magistrate Gwatidzo granted Christina the protection order.
