PHOTOS: Gukurahundi victims exhumed and reburied

The National Peace and Reconciliation Commission has overseen a process that has led to the exhumation and reburial of a coup who were victims of Gukurahundi in Sipepa Tsholotsho.
Senior Journalist Zenzele Ndebele who attended the event said, "Today I attended an exhumation event in Sipepa.Tsholotsho. The couple was killed by the Gukurahundi brigade in 1983 and buried in a shallow grave by villagers. This was a very young couple, the man was 30yrs and the woman 21yrs. They left a son who was less than 2yrs."
The NPRC Chairperson Justice Sello Nare has been urging communities to speak the truth about the Gukurahundi massacres during the ongoing stakeholders meeting that are happening across the country as means towards national healing.
Last week the NPRC was in Gwanda.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged Zimbabwbe to debate the Gukrahundi genocide in all platforms.
The 19800s massacred claimed an estimated 20 000 residents of Matabeleland and Midlands.
