Mnangagwa's govt lauds Fingaz

GOVERNMENT on Friday congratulated the Financial Gazette for standing the test of time and making an immense contribution to the country's economy.
The iconic weekly, popularly known as the Fingaz, started operating in 1969 and celebrated 50 years in business on Friday.
Speaking at the Financial Gazette's landmark Golden Jubilee dinner held in Harare on Friday evening, Information minister Monica Mutsvangwa lauded the 'Pink Paper' for its distinguished reportage, pointing out that the paper has consistently retained its market share since its opening.
The Information minister also applauded the paper's contribution to the economic growth of country.
She also encouraged Modus Media, which owns the weekly, to grow its media portfolio - taking advantage of the new dispensation which has opened up the airwaves.
