Professor Jonathan Moyo says the ZANU PF Youth Leaders were sent by President Emmerson Mnangagwa's son Emmerson Jr to do a press conference that alleged Senior Party and Government officials are involved in corrupt activities.
"It is now known that the ZANU PF youth are being fronted and managed by Emmerson Mnangagwa jr, who met with the youths before their bombshell presser last week and who is the source of the information they say they have." Moyo said.
Moyo added that the plot by Mnangagwa was to deal with his political enemies.
"The son triggers the allegations and the father reciprocates by setting up a self-serving commission of inquiry to purge perceived internal critics, under the guise of fighting corruption. Down with nepotism!"
On Monday last week Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor John Mangudya, two Cabinet Ministers and ZANU PF secretary for administration Obert Mpofu were named by the youths as leading figures in the run-away currency parallel market.
Along with Mangudya, Cabinet Ministers Priscah Mupfumira and Jorum Gumbo, Zanu PF lawmaker Tino Machakaire, controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo, Information Minister Monica Mutsvangwa's son Neville have been fingered in the nefarious activities fuelling the parallel market.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has since indicated that he will set up a government Commission of Inquiry to investigate the matter.
