Tension is high in ZANU-PF Mashonaland Central Province over the replacement of ex-vice chairperson member Brigadier -General Epmarcus Kanhanga who was promoted to politburo recently.
Bulawayo24.com is reliably informed that the provincial coordinating committee (PCC) is meeting tomorrow to deliberate on several vacant position in the PCC.
The vice chairperson post is the one which has created tension in the camp after the under fire chairperson Kazembe Kazembe is lobbing Shamva for his allay Oscar Gorerino.
Sources say he wants to block his rival Sydney Chidamba from contesting in the looming provincial election by putting a vice who will block him by giving him disciplinary accusations for his curriculum vitae not to be accepted.
"As Shamva people we are not happy with Kazembe who is imposing Gorerino instead of Mapiki we do not want detectors in the party and the PCC tomorrow will not be peaceful if he tries to impose candidates," fumed one supporter from Shamva.
Others are of the view that Kanhanga was a war veteran hence the post should be awarded to a War veteran from Guruve.
"This idea by Kazembe to put someone from Shamva and without a war veteran background is not inline with party constitution we will surely block his idea in the meeting we want straight forward things in the party," said a war veteran from Guruve.
Kazembe refused to entertain the media saying party issues are discussed on the right platforms.
