Shamva bully battles for life

An alleged Shamva Bully Confidence Kajamba (22) is battling for life at Shamva hospital after he was struck on the occiput by a fellow villager accusing him of being a bully to every man in the village.

The suspect Cosmass Kadende is facing an attempted murder charge and has since fled.

Mashonaland Central police spokespersons Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the case.

"I can confirm an attempted murder case in Shamva where Kajamba was struck with an iron bar by Kadende in a bully misunderstanding," Mundembe said.

"Allegations are that on Sartuday last week Kajamba was with other young men when Kadende accused him of being a bully to every young man in the village and a misunderstanding ensued."

As a result of the misunderstanding, Kadendd picked an iron bar and struck Kajamba once on the occiput.

He fell down and sustained a deep cut before being rushed to the hospital where he is battling for life.

Police are appealing for information that can lead to the arrest of Kadende.

"We are appealing for information which can lead to the arrest of Kadende anyone with information can report to the nearest police station."

Mundembe urged people to control their anger.

"We also urge members of the public of the public to control their anger and shun violence."
