Mnangagwa returns to Zimbabwe after Boko inauguration

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has returned from Gaborone, Botswana, where he attended the inauguration ceremony of President Duma Boko, Botswana's newly elected sixth president. The Zimbabwean leader was accompanied by Acting Foreign Affairs Minister Mangaliso Ndlovu and other senior officials.
Upon arrival at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, President Mnangagwa was greeted by Vice President Dr. Constantino Chiwenga and other government representatives.
President Boko, leader of the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC), secured his victory in Botswana's October 30 elections, with his coalition winning 36 parliamentary seats. The Botswana Congress Party (BCP) followed with 15 seats, while the Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) and Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) garnered five and four seats, respectively.
Ahead of his visit, President Mnangagwa congratulated the UDC coalition on its electoral success and praised outgoing President Mokgweetsi Masisi for his commitment to a peaceful and orderly transition of power.
